As a parent of two children currently enrolled in Lee County public schools, the performance of our school district is not just a matter of policy for me – it's personal.
When I graduated from Cape Coral High School in 2002, little did I know that I would find myself raising my children and witnessing them follow the same educational path within our Lee County School System. Our challenges were different back then, and today, our children face new opportunities and challenges, especially with technological advancements.
As a parent, my top priority is the safety of our children. We believe that conservative leadership is essential to ensure a focus on the safety of our schools, student achievement, and the continued involvement of parents in our children's education. We must have leaders who understand the unique needs and concerns of families within our community.
I am not just a concerned parent; I am also a small business owner, and we can see firsthand the impact that our schools have on shaping the future of our generations. I am committed to prioritizing trades and tech schools alongside traditional college education. We must ensure that all paths to success are valued and that our education system equips students with the skills they need to thrive in various fields.
Our children's opportunities have expanded with technological advancements, and together, we must adapt to these changes while maintaining a steadfast focus on the safety and well-being of our students. We have an incredible opportunity to improve literacy and graduation rates while empowering parents to engage actively in their child's learning journey.
